The TM44 AC Inspection is a legal requirement for all
Air Conditioning Systems with a combined cooling capacity >12kW. Any systems
more than five years old are now overdue since January 2011. As such you require
an Air Conditioning (AC) Inspection legally to comply with Article 9 of the
Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Please note that this is in addition
to Fgas requirements.
The Inspection is not part of servicing or maintenance and will not be
covered by a maintenance contract. As the user of this equipment it is your
responsibility to ensure you have an AC Inspection report in place and renewed
every 5 years. This inspection must be carried out by a suitably accredited
energy assessor and the report must be lodged on Landmark database to
demonstrate compliance. Failure to
comply could result in fines of as much as £5,000 and trading standards officers
are now tasked with maintaining compliance.
Benefits of the AC Inspection?
·
The reports will identify opportunities to save energy and
reduce operating costs
·
